Create democracy creatively

‘We need you!’ – become active and courageously stand up for an open society, community and peace. Especially now, when right-wing movements are becoming louder, it is time to stand together and be visible. At the Tollwood Winter Festival, everyone will be designing benches with our shared values to match the festival motto. A strong symbol for democracy.

Every day of the winter festival, benches will be brought to life on the plaza in the bazar. Writing, gluing, designing – visitors will use various techniques to bring their ideas and convictions to life on the bench. In this way, simple benches become works of art and ‘value benches’, colourful statements for our democracy. Together, we show that we defend our values and stand up for a better world.
The finished ‘value benches’ around the plaza invite people to sit down and have a chat.

Bench seeks sponsorship
Statements for our democracy: Tollwood is looking for sponsors for the designed ‘Values Benches’. This is because the benches are intended to be a visible symbol of democracy even after the Tollwood Winter Festival.
