The trio led by Matthias Heiligensetzer plays hot boogie woogie as well as groovy blues and jazz classics. With surprising interpretations of cross-genre melodies, the trio brings a breath of fresh air to the hits of yesteryear. Songs such as ‘Great Balls of Fire’ by Jerry Lee Lewis and Fats Domino’s ‘Jambalaya’ sound in a new guise. The musicians lend bluesy pieces a melancholy depth.
