Sedlmeir releases his eighth longplayer with the simple title ‘Schallplatte’ in October 2021. Cold melancholy and black humor are trumps on this multi-layered rock ‘n’ roll album. The electronics sound like retro work, the lyrics like present and future II. The electric guitar bites timelessly through the dirty beats in the song framework. What emerges is pop music that expands its meaning by exposing and breaking itself.
