South West Old Time All Stars

The Hot Five and Hot Seven recordings of Louis Armstrong were recorded in different line-ups between 1925 and 1928 and were pure studio productions, Satchmo never went on tour with this formation. The South West Oldtime All Stars have taken on these classics (West End Blues, King of the Zulus, Cornet Chop Suey, Struttin’ with some barbecue, Mahagony Hall Stomp and many more) and breathe new life into them, musically on the highest level and not only for friends of New Orleans Jazz a real feast for the ears.
