Classical violinist and jazz trumpeter don’t go together? Hip-hop, jazz, pop and world music not a good combination? Emotional ballads and powerful brass parts contradict each other? Not at all! The Munich band Donnerbalkan – DOBA – skillfully combines all these contrasts to a diversified whole and thus creates a new musical direction: world pop. The ten professional musicians and inventors of world pop mix up the German brass scene with their sound and make everyone dance.
